Off and away…

The Philippines has 7,641 islands, only about 2,000 are inhabited. They are clustered into the three major island groups of  Provinces namely; Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Right in the heart of Western Visayas,  the island shaped like a sock, is Negros Island. On its toe most tip is the city of Dumaguete and where on one of its mountains, PAHUWAY is.

Surrounded and protected by neighboring  islands, our weather here is generally sunny and beautiful all year round!

The Weather

The Philippines tropical weather is generally hot and quite humid. The region experiences three seasons

• a hot dry summer between March and May

• a wet rainy season between June and November

• and a cooler dry season between December and February

Average temperatures in the Philippines usually range between 21 °C (70 °F) and 32 °C (90 °F) with the average yearly temperature coming in at around 26.6 °C (79.9 °F).

The best time to visit the Philippines weather-wise is from January to May. January is the coolest month while May is the warmest.

It is also the peak season for tourists.

June to September is the low season and is a good time to visit if you don’t mind a little rain during your stay.

Note: Between June and November is the possibility of typhoons, resulting in heavy rain across the country, then the weather can be wet and unpredictable.

Aside from this, there really is no bad time to visit the Philippines.
